Fading away like a nauseous breeze
Bated for prey an unstoppable disease
Ravaged inside so many lose hope
Turning to drink and drugs just to cope

Violence is rife there is no turning back
Killing by knife you rehearse your attack
The devil's inside lying dormant in need
Another innocent victim forced to concede

You stand in the line too scared to move
You do as they tell you and hope they can't prove
That you are the cause of this vicious attack
You show no remorse it's compassion you lack

You still have the feeling that something's not right
Nagging you endearing begging for light
Desperate to communicate invading your space
Throwing confusion all over the place

You stick to your story it doesn't make sense
It's full of delusion confusion pretence
It's becoming impossible to hide your guilt
Easy to penetrate the walls you've built

You know in this world you can only get through
If you ask no questions and believe what they tell you
You'll never be free until your final breath
The best thing you can hope for is an early death

You stand all alone and the message is clear
You'll always be vulnerable drenched in fear
You hold on tight and begin your fall
Killing by knife didn't hurt after all
