Being inspired by Akhtar Jawad's limerick, I promised five days ago that I too would like to try my hand writing one. Happy to say, I've posted my first limerick today, titled: Limerick-1: Railway Minister's Freak.

I want nothing for me but give all that he thinks to ask from you, - Maternal love is unconditional... A very impressive poem about a great mother.

Poet Akhtar Jawad does not know me personally, but God only knows how true are those two lines. Here I think, he knows me more than I do myself! Thank you, Akhtar Jawad!

I am overwhelmed by your thoughtful words, dear poet @Akhtar Jawad Sahab. You have, as though, prayed for me on my mother's behalf, at the advent of Holy Ramadhan. My gratitude.... My heartfelt thanks to all the poets who have so kindly commented below, eulogising our poems particularly for your kind words and thoughts on my mother. Particularly I would like to thank poet Kumarmani Mahakul who has rightly recognized the 'essence of the poem'.
