Keep It Before You Lose It Poem by Joseph Sakyiamah

Keep It Before You Lose It

Like an empty bottle that takes rain,
‎A river never promises its end to the sea,
‎But without it, you'll never find the sea.
‎Just like smoke, you never know its value until it disappears,
‎Like shadows, you only notice weight in darkness.
‎Silence is a burden to keep,
‎While we're with you, it feels so strong,
‎Like light, you only value it when it's gone.
‎Keep it as you have now,
‎Winds are never touched but felt,
‎Keep it before you lose it all.
