Hi Lyn, This poem is a translation of poem Intezaar in Hindi by Ms Kavita Singh. The original so beautifully done by Kavita. My translation may not measure upto the original. Still you liked the poem, which is a glowing tribute Kavita. And incidentally, the word Kavita means poetry. Deeply obliged for your time and the good words..

these two lines, especially since they follow one another in the same little stanza, make me wonder why the speaker says what he/she says. I do take for truth every lie of yours, knowingly Hoping you'd discern my truth some day...........................? favorite lines: I sit with my eyes to the road glued Waiting to have a glimpse of you. bri :)

Hi Susan, Thank you for reading this beautiful poem by Ms Kavita Singh. She is a very talented poet. I am enchanted by her write. And her beauty and charm of her poems forced me to attempt this translation. I dont claim that my write has been able to capture the charm of the original. But I am elated that you liked it, Susan. Thank you.

Hi Ram, This is the translation of an exquisite poem named Intezaar (Hindi) by poet Ms Kavita Singh. If you read Hindi, please read the original. My translation, does not measure upto the original at all. I just tried so the fellow-poets who do not read Hindi get introduced to Kavita Singh. Thank you definitely, and the credit goes to Kavita, which I would convey to her..
