Some are frayed, some folded;

...But, of hope I have a ray That I'd be able some day To achieve my destination Search for which is still on. I really enjoyed this poem especially the last verse. It's so optimistic and it redirects our attention to what's to come. It makes the process of going through so much more easier. Keep writing...100+++++

Hi Becca, Thank you for reading this most beautiful poem by Kavita Singh. And offering the very encouraging comments. The appreciation is actually due to Kavita. I doubt whether I hv captured the beauty of her poem in full. Becca, Kavita is such a talented poet that I feel proud to be associated with her. Obliged! ! !
it is a bonus for me that you managed an English rhyme, ray/day, in this fine translation. thanks. Zindagi, in Hindi, should soon be in Section A of February's showcase (on my PH site) and this translation, It Is Life, is scheduled to appear in Section C once i get it ready, maybe within the next week. thanks. bri :)
Thank you Bri. For show-casing this poem both the Hindi Original and the English version. As you know, Hindi original would reach a limited audience. So, the English rendering. So more people read and come to understand the poet. Similarly, two or three poems of Sister Frances (from Cape Town, SA who writes in English) have been translated in Hindi, jointly by Kavita and me. This may help our fellow poets who do not read English. I want to try translating more poems more poems from English to Hindi or Malayalam. And vice-versa. But paucity of time (for I still work) is one constraint. May be, I will do more after I retire. Deeply indebted to you Sir.
Another lovely translation of Kavita's poem. Through you i am able to read her beautiful poems. Thank you Unni! Yes! you deserve full marks for this poem. :)
Thank You Geeta. I don't deserve anything for mutilating this beautiful work by Kavita. I will convery your good words to her. She is definitely a very talented poet.. Thank you Geeta.
A great piece of writing. Poetically pleasing. The reader is enthralled. A huge 10.
Hi Nosheen, I do not know whether I have able to do justice to the exquisite poem of Kavita. Nosheen, if you have liked it, it is because the original is soo beautiful. Thank you Nosheen for the encouragement you are giving to me as well as to Kavita.
