Karnataka is a state in India. Recently elections for the state legislature was held. It was acrimonious. Three major parties -congress, BJP and JDS. BJP got highest seats but was short of majority. JDS and congress formed an alliance and staked claim. But Governor preferred BJP. Supreme Court asked for confidence motion within one day.BJP was planning to do some horse trading to improve its tally.This did not happen and BJP Govt collapsed. Now coalition is set to start its innings. it was a defeat for Prime Minister Modi as he canvassed vigorously for BJP. Congress party conducted some sting operations to record attempts by BJP to poach some of Congress party members.
