Thank you so much, Akhtar. To read the perspective of a citizen from a place that is misunderstood in my country is important to me and I hope others. When Americans hear, Pakistan, thoughts are immediately directed to strange, foreign,3rd world and even terrorism. To know that Karachi is so adored by you; a sensitive, open minded, intelligent poet, should remind us all that no matter the destination, people are basically the same, with the same ideals and sense of beauty and hometown pride. I cannot write the same things about where I live. A small, dreary rural town. May your beloved Karachi experience peace and prosperity.
