its so true we are insane to trees........! ! “And if you would know God, be not therefore a solver of riddles. Rather look about you and you shall see Him playing with your children. And look into space; you shall see Him walking in the cloud, outstretching His arms in the lightning and descending in the rain. You shall see Him smiling in flowers, then rising and waving His hands in trees.” ~Kahlil Gibran, in The Prophet
Indeed Trees are the treasure of all beings. in the past Era`s our ancient ancestors dreamed desired and invented more internal and external teasures, One bow tree can give oxygen for more than twenty five thousand humans and other living things, the eight hundred years is a blessed life but now I don`t know new trees life? Good devotional poem.
I love the title - it grabbed me... It sounded exotic (I like that) ... and the poem has meaning... Mankind should embrace progress, but not at the expense of our environment... Good write Elena, and it reminds me of Joyce Kilmer's Poem Line: ' I think that I Shall Never See A Poem As Lovely As A Tree' ... Well, this one comes close (smile) ... MoonBee
Wow Peter, thank you, yes that's right, you are soo well informed(better than me, hahaha) let's hope that new roots will be born..My tears got long dried but still i'll say: ''O tsukare samadeshita''! -(appreciate your hard work)
oh! this is about the giant ginkgo tree that collapsed in a storm at kamakura on wednsday? in todays news it said they will try to save it by re-planting. lets hope it can live again!
Loved this poem, and all the comments that have followed. I've never seen an 'eight hundred years old and thirty meters high' tree. Loved your deep love for the trees.
