I pass in a boat now my lonely hour
As the west wind blows
Beneath the evening sky,
Branches of palm trees sway
While the day is slowly drifting,
Latent darkness waits
For light to retreat
In times carriage,
While back on shore
Men are hurrying homeward bound
Tired after the days work
As I spend my hours rowing eternally;
Bound to no shore
I am homeless
Without a friend or family,
You are reading a page in just my book of verse
A poem without emotion or purpose,
Life is a novel packed with twists and turns
Where you can’t relive scenes by turning pages
You can glance at memories and keep feeling wistful;
Those days won’t return
You can keep hoping for better days,
Time will unfold at its own pace,
Stories are memories about life
They form unique patterns
As the world views them through a kaleidoscope.
The picture of human life and it its uninspiring pursuits is beautifully brought out.Thanks for sharing it. Marks 10
It is a soulful write. I hope you don; t spend all your life by yourself.
