Just Walk Away Poem by Randy McClave

Just Walk Away

When people talk to put you down
Hoping to bring you tears or give you a frown,
Instead of giving them another day
Just turn around, and walk away.
I have walked away so many times before,
That now both my feet are blistered and sore.

When people talk about your past
Hoping that pain and memory will forever last,
For them and their sins I will sit down and pray
And then from them, I will walk away.
I will walk away as fast as I could or can,
I am leaving where all of my problems had began.

When people are angry and ready to incite
When they put up their fists and are ready to fight,
To end that confrontation I know not what to say
So, I will turn around, and just walk away.
Some people never seek or want to resolve,
So, them and their actions you must dissolve.

When people never truly see or know your worth
Stop trying to please them just tighten the girth,
That game of judgement do not ever participate or play
Just turn around, and walk away.
When you have walked away from all the negativity,
You have walked miles, and healthier your soul and mind will be.
