Very well done. Opposition is needed in all things. Without the winter, we wouldn't appreciate spring, summer, and fall so much. Congratulations on having it selected as poem of the day!

Pain often makes more powerful poetry and its memories can be either devastating, or serve towards growth. Congrats on poem of the day.

What a wonderful wisdom in this poem, Dee. So true. Makes me think of the song, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Actually if something not so good is happening, we tend to curse it in the moment but so often only later we see that it was really necessary for our own personal growth. Excellent poem.

We have to experience darkness before seeing the light, day before knowing the night, pain in order to know pleasure - life is about opposites, the ultimate aim of which is to reconcile them. Very good write Dee, well written and expressed.
