Just Me Poem by Britney Garlich

Just Me

Rating: 5.0

Please no one envy me, no one should.
Please don't want to be like me,
thats not what you want.
Maybe I am skinny, but I am no role model.
Maybe my hair is beautiful and blonde,
but that's all thanks to chemicals.
Maybe my papers appear perfect,
but the credit doesn't belong to me.
Maybe my skin looks flawless,
that's because I hide the scars on my wrist.
Maybe you want my smile,
but that smile is only skin deep.
Maybe you want my tan complexion,
but I waste alot of my time in seven dollar beds.
Don't look at me and be jealous,
because it's all things you can have.
The happiness can't be purchased,
although everything else can.
Don't want to look like me and don't want to be me,
because I don't even want to.

You express well Britney...and honestly. Many people feel this way today but many will not admit it. Good writing...hope you can read some of mine. Thank you.
