Just Let Me Be Poem by Felix Otiende

Just Let Me Be

JUST LET ME BE
You were my world and happiness,
I believed in you and your fantasy,
Lived for you and us,
Dream again and hope again,

I only pictured us,
You were my destiny and fate,
In my fate I lost,
You did away with our fruit of love,

Was it lust or a game?
Yes! You manage to kill us and it,
Destroyed what seemed perfect,
You played your cards well,

You called to apologize,
What for? The one you called good for nothing,
The one you rejected and avoided,
The one you left on the road to die,

Am sorry my friend,
I can't be somebody else,
Not anymore,
I will meet my type.
