This poem sums up the other three I just read and commented on. This poem gives voice to the life of ALTRUISM, which is a law and a spirit that connects so many good things, bringing people together in a spirit of harmony. Your title JUST BEING THERE echoes my second favorite line of poetry, it's from one of the last poems written by Wallace Stevens when he was 75, and it affirms what your poems are saying that the greatest valuemismin people, not things or power or wealth: SEE HOW HIGH THE BRIGHTEST CANDLE LIGHTS THE DARK! OUT OF THE SAME LIGHT, OUT OF THE CENTRAL MIND, WE MAKE A DWELLING IN THE OPEN AIR IN WHICH BEING THERE TOGETHER IS ENOUGH.
