Just Another Empty Day Without You Poem by Alexzandria Samonte

Just Another Empty Day Without You

Interlude

Hmmm....hmmmm.... hmmm....
zip me out
zip me away
my love will never be swayed
I am out...I am in...

Rain is pouring
harder than your head
harder than an old bread
here you come
tall and slender
with your sad puffy eyes
looking hollow and empty
if my chest has a window my heart would leap out and clobber

You walk alone
like you're in another dimension
blue striped sleeveless in faded blue jeans
Your hair color that screams under that beige umbrella

why do we have to meet again
I tried moving on
but here we are again
on a dark awakening

Watching you from behind
your ass that shaped like a heart
unglamorous moves that makes you more of stand out
you look tired
and seems to be preoccupied
I wish I could come near you
but I know you're a runner

just by looking at you
i'm already melting
see the floor wet
not it's not my sweat
I'm calm

but when you heard my voice
you suddenly turned around and followed me
i can hear your heartbeat beating like a drum

But you run away like the usual
before i lift up my head
I am behind you again
staring at your heart shaped bum

fly away along with the chicken in your hand
you almost blocked me from the parking
even the car is confused where you're going
your glass is tinted
but i can see you through

again... just another day
empty without you.

just another empty day without you
