Just A Sorrow To Remember Poem by Sami Gjoka

Just A Sorrow To Remember

Let me now catch your smile at this tiny spec of light
Before ashes will be only things that fires leave behind
While slow running after the smoke to an empty sky
Since the joy of every moment is the figment of the mind
Since life is just a wagon that will turn and flip and slide
Joy and sorrow are to humans as are day and night to stars
That, forever chase each other, just like axes that attached
At its center, keep rotating as one, but yet two sides;
Therefore let me catch your smile at this tiny spec of light
Let me freeze this very moment that is just a click of time
Of this time that goes in spirals up and down, left and right
For us humans that are bloody, stream that flows on its hole.
I will hang and keep this picture up to ceilings of my soul
Just a sorrow to remember and get sadder even more.
