Just A Little Longer Poem by Jennifer Birchall

Just A Little Longer

Rating: 5.0

Eyelids weighed down by iron
Fighting to stay awake just a little longer
Until the birds have sang their final song
The sky turns deep navy like the ocean
And a million night lights shine
Then drift soundly into a sea of dreams

Expressed beautifully. You have taken so many steps. You are nearly there.

A poem many can relate to, heavy eyes under the weight of expectations postponed but still standing! Awesome meter!
