Just A Doll Poem by pepper sanders

Just A Doll

Rating: 4.5

What if I said, that I just want to be alone,
Away from the constant critics and all your shallow truths;
Away from you and your never-ending words,
Which have been nothing but hollow lies and sugar coated words,
That had me smiling in a minute and crying in a next.
After all, I was your doll in every sense;
For you to show when I'm radiant,
And for you to shut me in when I'm less.
But you'll want me to be for you
And when I say I won't, you'll move on.
For I'll always be a doll that you use,
And all dolls are thrown away when worn out.
That's what you did to me,
For I was just a doll,
For you to use and throw

Being a slave or puppet to another's convenience in love, is well depicted in the poem. An insightful piece of poetry, nicely penned from inner recesses of the heart with insight. Thanks for sharing Sanders. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.
