Joyful Breath Poem by Karen Redwards

Joyful Breath

Consumed with sorrowed heart,
I cling to thee my love.
It is all increasing agony
The storms that roll above

I listen with great vigil
To know your warming touch,
Your silence grows within me
My everlasting love

Then all at once a spark,
Awakens on my brow
My chest breathes in a joyful gasp
Excitement fills my lungs

Oh joyful Spirit, fill me
Enraptured by Your grace,
It is I who stand before you,
Alone and out of place.

The storm is now subsiding,
Your comfort soothes my Soul
This peace within my broken shell,
Has made me ever whole.
