Journalism is a noble art,
A crucial role they play a part,
Bringing truth to light for all to see,
And upholding democracy.
Their role in society is paramount,
To keep the powers that be in account.
But sometimes lines they cross,
As journalists become the boss,
Pronouncing judgments before a trial,
And spreading lies and fake news vile.
When sensationalism takes the lead,
And facts are ignored for a better feed.
Let's hope for a world where journalism thrives,
With truth at its core, and justice never compromised,
A world where we're informed and enlightened,
Where journalism's purpose is never frightened.
And though they may falter and make mistakes,
Their passion for justice and truth never breaks.
