He had paid his fare to Tarshish, and caused loss to the ship, ..............well, perhaps God had a hand in it also! i no longer believe in God or Bible stories, but i try to be open-minded. IF God really does/did exist, then ANYTHING is believable. i just read the Poet's Notes before going back to finish reading the poem. i'll be on the lookout for the alleged humourous style; i haven't noticed it yet. ok, i see a bit of humor now. ;) :) and i see a bit of rhyming. two of my favorite poetic conditions are humor and rhyming. thanks. hey! forty days! sounds a lot like some other guy in the bible; someone who built a BIG boat! let's see.................hmm? ..............Ned, Nestor, Nick, Nancy? Nah! bri :)
