John Ord. Poem by Tom Allport

John Ord.

Rating: 5.0

He loved his birds
The feathered kind
Yes they were
Always on his mind
A true fancier
Out of the top drawer
Johnny Ord would do
Anything to score
Even though he was
One of the best
He has really suffered
And now he's at rest.

Out of the top draw....IF I KNEW about John Ord i might understand this line. but, because i think you may want to rhyme with score, i ask you: Did you mean drawer? maybe i still would not understand. i read an old poem comment from you and decided to visit your poems again. let me see another. bri :)

He loved his birds The feathered kind Yes they were Always on his mind...................................... unique the way of communicating the state of mind, the purity of a soul.... unique piece indeed. Tribute perhaps many times brings sorrows but sometimes it gives a passage to feel the extended beauty of life. It happened here. Thank you poet.
