Jinn At Collective Bargaining Poem by Ulas Basar Gezgin

Jinn At Collective Bargaining

I have been waiting for so many long years
So that somebody would rub the lamp
Humankind progressed from spears to rifles
-In the war books-
In my case, I have 3 pieces of wishes
Embedded within each, at the lamp...

If I would be rubbed, I would obey
The unexpected wishes of whoever rubbed me,
But none of them ask for good health for me...
Maybe one day I would die, before the lamp would be rubbed...

I have very strong biceps,
But they are not sufficient to leave this place
I have very long arms as well,
But they are long enough to rub the lamp...

This is my promise: I will read this poem
To the one who would rub the lamp first.
I have thought a lot about it: From now on
I would do general strike in my lamp.
