Jingling Of Bells Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Jingling Of Bells

Midnight hour chimes
And all is quiet in the cold night air
When far off in the darkness
Comes the sound of jingling bells.

Children are sleeping and dreaming
Of Christmas morn with presents
With family and friends and love overwhelming
On the bedside table a mince pie for Santa.

Urging his reindeer on flying above the town
Pulling the sleigh laden with presents
Hurrying with so many children to visit
Before the night's work is done.
