When such an incredible claim is made (The 'existence' of a god) The burden of PROOF falls upon the believer. Fundamental logic shows that one can not prove a negative. So I will not even try to 'prove' that there is NO god.
Much like political affiliation and ardency, religious beliefs stem from situation. If you were born to a certain class, in a certain region, surrounded my like minded people, and indoctrinated from birth; you will hold 'beliefs' that reflect that circumstance. You will eschew any other possibility as Fake News. You will be next to impossible to convince that, at the very least, any other 'Reality' could exist. Sigh.
