Jesus wept...
But we know why!

If we look at the shape
This world is in.
At all the things that
We deny.

If we look at what we do
In the name of God.
How numbly we kill,
How quickly we hate.

How easily we turn our backs,
How deftly we judge.
How righteous we are,
How distorted our mirrors.

How deaf to the truth,
How blind in our souls.
How religious our hearts,
Behind make believe walls.

Jesus wept,
And we would to...
If we weren't already dead!
