Bebop beat the bigots.
Dazzling Dizzy G. in his heyday
Silenced all the critics.
Coltrane crushed the Tin Pan crew:
Made it cool to improvise.
Miles concocted his 'Bitches Brew':
It was a hybrid mix of styles.
