For a project to have a start,
There must be a beginning
My subject's start was years ago,
But this is his big inning
This message here just came to me
The day preceding this one
A light turned on, a mental spark
Ignited with your name, son
"Select the friends who'll lift, inspire,
And help you when it's needed,
One who chooses to do the right! "
In this you have succeeded!
Has my life really been worth it?
Did I really make a difference?
There are lives you guided and inspired…
Your effect has been immense.
But something's still awaiting you,
And the paycheck's even greater…
To your life ‘n those whose lives you touch.
Cause you'll both be living straighter
You'll share your prized possession, this,
Our world's greatest treasure
They'll hear, believe, accept its word,
And you'll joy beyond measure,
"Where will I go? " Th'Lord only knows.
But a place where you will flourish
"What shall I do? " The answer's easy,
It's your soul that you must nourish
Study, read, pray hard and serve…
Then the Lord will greatly bless you
He'll smooth the rough spots, sand and shine.
And when that's done, He'll dress you.
"That's something I do every day…
My pants and shirt and tennies, "
But when our Father clothes you Jase,
You're worth gold and not just pennies.
You say that you have so much time!
"I haven't hit eighteen yet! "
But time flies by, and the work is hard.
You'll do your best I bet! (I know)
You see that you've impressed this guy,
He likes your looks and style
Out there you let the words impress,
Not one but go two miles
You teach. The Spirit does the rest,
Do your-all to make it linger
It works to change the hearts of men
And all others that you bring Her
A word of counsel I'll give you then
From one who barely knows you
You're not out there to impress all men.
But let me here propose two
The man inside you is the first,
And confide in him you must
The other is the One above.
In Him please, always trust.
