Jacson Gelato - A Shepherd Of God (Read It - Dillip And Kofi And All Who Refuse To Reform)

My noble task is over
and I am well on my way.
I have tried to win back
those who have erred and
lost their way.
And by this action
if I have caused
any pain or hate,
they must know
I was only the shepherd Of God
and they were the herd
who went astray
and could never choose
to retrace their wayward steps
and their wayward thoughts and words.

Unto God I have dedicated
all my sincere efforts
and appealed to the erroneous
to get back on their track of honesty.
I summoned and shouted aloud
to tell those who have been indiscreet
in their quest to find fame.
I fell a thousand times on the floor
as I attempted to bring them
on that path of reformation.

And just like Mahatma Gandhi
served his nation
and took the difficult task
that was good for humanity,
I took this short journey
to enlighten those
who went astray
but they refused to move away
or rectify themselves
as their thoughts were so gray
burnt with destructive conclusions,
intentions, derivations
that I had to give up
and let God arrest them
as they have selected
the damage and derogation
of falsity and venom
in their involvements.

And just as an angel
can never live
on those grasslands
where moths of frustration
dominate the green pastures
disallowing others
to thrive in superiority
of truth and tranquility,
all I can ever do now
is return back to my pool of peace
and keep continuity
with my own works and words
in compliance with praises
to only truthfulness and God.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Those two pail into insignificance when you consider other non-English imperfections. This site must be regarded as the worst poetry platform. It administrators are biased in favour of imperfect writings that cannot be regarded as poems. See Poem Of The Day and the comments. I feel sad for the true poets.
