Jackson Bay Comments

today i found a comment about me from 12-1-13, sent to PH by you, as follows: Bri thank you for your comments. ....thanks for that. [i rarely look at the page with 'comments about me'. usually i receive messages in my inbox, which i check frequently.] i didn't remember your name so i looked at your poet page and then moved to the two poems. i read the one again and the other for the first time i guess (as i had not posted a comment on the second one) . now i have reread Jackson Bay and reread the comment i left. i think i was in a critical mood that day i first read the poem. i won't take back what i said, BUT i find today that the poem is very enjoyable to read. thanks for sharing AGAIN. you really DID paint a picture of a fearsome force against the poor fishermen! :) bri

The usually calm and serene water ..............calm is a synonym of serene, but you probably knew that; poetic license? ? the first eight lines sounded like a nice beginning for a novel, but then i was disappointed. what/who was sending choppy waves? ....see what i mean? But all was naught for the fishermen five ...... maybe drop the But? and it seems as though it should say for fishermen four since one DID survive. BUT, thanks for sharing. :)
