It's the last hour, and I'm still awaiting!
You left me on the dark side of the earth;
You left me alone to find the way to light...
...through darkness myself;
I miss you, and may be that's my own delusion speaking;
I won't forget you! I can't forget you!
I'll admit, I've tried to forget you all this time;
But you did never forget me!
You are calling me back all the time!
I'm tired of weaving myself into my own delusion;
I want now to get out of this self-woven mesh of delusion!

You said to me in the eternity, when I was still...
...between the existence and non existence:
'I am your only Lord! I would ever love you! '
And then you took a covenant from me:
To find my complete fulfilment in you!
To be with you emotionally as well as spiritually!
You addressed me and other progeny of Adam...
...in a time-before-time in these words:
'Am I not your Lord? '
Then we had responded with a resounding balā:
'Yes, indeed! '

But, on coming down to the earth, I left you...
...because I forgot the covenant!
I didn't know myself...
...and I didn't know you as my Lord!
I still don't, how should I know you, my Lord?
I'm stuck and now it's the last hour!
I wish I could take things back even if...
...my vile nafs chokes me with fear!

I don't have the courage to speak to you;
And tell you to love me until I know myself;
I'm not worthy of your love but I do believe...
...that still, you love me;
I've tried to be your honest lover...
...but my own delusion keeps me astray!

My Lord, I love you because You love me!
We are not like two spirits living in one body;
There's only One-reality! There's only one-reality!
