It's Not Logical Poem by Colin Coplin

It's Not Logical

Rating: 4.5

Sailing boats come, sailing boats go, It's the only life I know
To the cafeteria I must go, to wait on tables for 5 euro

Famous names come, famous names go, sometimes more than twice
Big tips they leave, I treat them right
The food and the service are more than nice
They don't mind the price

Summer on the islands of paradise, pebbles on the shore
Tanning slowly in the sun, who could want for anything more

Each morning, I like to fish, for a few hours in the morning breeze
I go to a place, that no one else sees, I'm back by morning tea

Sailing boats come, sailing boats go, It's the only life I know
To the restaurant I must go, to wait on tables for 5 euro

Summer on the islands of paradise, pebbles on the shore
Tanning slowly in the sun, who could want for anything more

Spending time with my family and friends, no I haven't a care
Talking to tourists, who feed me the news, all about the world out there
'Open a franchise' they say to me, 'you could be a multi-millionaire'
'Work 30 years to gain prosperity', just to end up back here?

It's not logical

Summer on the islands of paradise, Pebbles on the shore
Tanning slowly in the sun, who could want for anything more

Sailing boats come, sailing boats go, It's the only life I know
To the restaurant I must go, to wait on tables for 5 euro
