In town greens did I live for long,
But time comes for all things to go,
I too must go crowing my song…
I liked greens, clock tower's ding dong,
Garden insects ever on grow,
I must go now singing last song.
Winds of change blow down all along,
Telling, it's time to make a move,
Your house tenant I was for long.
Now singing last few lines of my song
To go bowing to times that blow,
Time comes in one's life to end song.
Life is but change, there's not so wrong,
Happy I go as friend, not foe,
No one should over-sing his song.
Nor is one remembered for long,
My time is over and I know,
I do find winds of change on flow,
And go chirping the same old song.

Sparrows, commonly found in most parts of India, have been increasingly hard to find. A chirpy bird, it might have sung its last swan song like this. ____________________________________________________
