Empty nest syndrome........until school's out. Those first days feel strange and empty. But I'm sure you will come to appreciate your free time, and ofcourse you will look forward to their homecoming all the more. Love, Fran xxx
This beautiful poem is testament to the appropriateness of your name - Dee Daffodil. It is bright and bubbling and loving and honest and it gently waves in the breeze and nods its head in affirmation of life! Great piece. Believe me, you're going to really enjoy this new found 'me' time. Love, Allie xxxx

When they get older, and understand more, they will appreciate what you just wrote here. Maybe, much the same as you feel now. (perhaps you have forgotten) ... Well captured, time and feeling though! Sweetheart! Sometimes such a silence can be deafening in its gravity. They'll be back in no time (after all, mom's presumably better at washing, ironing, baking.. :)) t x
Beautiful, Dee. Very you! Ez X
Hey, lovely poem Dee! Seems it's been quiet here too - no poems from you for a month! So I'll have to go back and look for gems I might have overlooked - like this one! Take care! -chuck
