It Rains In Delhi 08 Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

It Rains In Delhi 08

Rating: 5.0

This win is no win at all.

As we face a government
Notorious for not keeping promises
And for taking vindictive actions
Against their detractors,
And snooping on the privacy
Of all and sundry, including
Judges of the Supreme Court,
We have not a minute to spare
But keep constant vigil
Against the impugned laws
Coming back like fat-tailed scorpions
through the back doors.

I agree to your note. Need to be more vigil. It's a saddening state of affairs faced by the common man
