It Makes No Difference Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

It Makes No Difference

Rating: 5.0

To deal
Or to drill
It makes no difference
The result is the gaping abyss for both
Whether it be political or military
Conflict al'as has the unintended consequences

The Frenchman Nostradamus could've predicted it
And even the Bible prophesied it
It still doesn't make any difference
Humanity'll al'as be caught in her folly
For none's innocent, even the unborn
We all cheer the despots as long as it serves our personal interests

For to war
Or to store
It seems the result comes out the same
The poor will cheer in anticipation; the rich rub their hands in glee
At the end, the poor become mere statistics, interred in tombs of oblivion
For want exposes one to deception n' abuse
