Now winter has arrived
With its cool wind and snow
Laden with drops of dew
Blades of grasses droop low
Hidden in the mists the
Hills afar sit in deep silence
Soaked flowers have heavy
Petals and in wind can't dance
Now winter has arrived
Men gossip sitting around fire
Shivering dogs watch the flame
They need some love and care
As evening falls lamps are
Placed on the doors and stairs
Bells are rung in the temples
The air is charged with prayers
Hidden in the mists the/Hills afar sit in deep silence....I identify these two lines as the kernel of this beautiful poem.......................................................10/10

Beautiful re-creation of scene on a cold winter day starting from long shots to the close-ups. Quite fascinating, more so, due to it sweetly rhymed expression. Thanks, Anil ji. To My PoemList.
