It Is Not The Physical Pain Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

It Is Not The Physical Pain

Rating: 5.0

Inserted into our lives
Pain teaches us the ethos of life
In its multiple forms
Pain stabs deeper than flesh
Pain opens wounds deeper than skin
Pain lingers on longer than tears
Pain digs deep into the subconscious
Opening a track into the Soul
It's not the physical pain that hurts most
It is the loss, the grief and the heartache
It is the pain steaming out the Soul
The pain of losing a loved one
Stabs deeper into the psyche
Shaking all semblance of certainty
Challenging our Faith
Unravelling our Love
And exposing our Hope
Pain is the teacher we all hate
Pain is the only ancient sacred surgical tool
That operates on the Soul

Pain teaches about echo. But we have to obey the inner mind and feel each echo. We shall learn from pain too. We hate but still pain is the teacher. You have said the true things. An interesting poem is brilliantly penned. This is an excellent poem.
