I hear the echoes of songs,
Collect the truths no one heeds.
I pick up signs, gather clues,
String them together like beads.

'The script of life' is ever changing, or one hopes, and for the better, if one has the heart for it. Thought provoking and very 'you', this! Esther : ]
Awesome poem, Julia... very interesting and thought provoking! Brian
I'm not sure that I believe that one thin book upon a shelf can tell the story of yourself what you thought and what you felt or your favorite shade of blue, or what you brought to those whose stars led them into meeting you.
Similar thoughts have crossed my mind everytime I try to write something original. Still the talents I've found in poetry and life aren't always in the words, but the implications and impact they have on one anothers lives. I guess that I don't believe that we are here to repeat a previous journey of someone else, but to write our own story. You've certainly got the talent, keep up the good work, this was a beautiful piece.
Lovely poem and well said. All is vanity. There is nothing new under the sun. But, still, I want to live forever, and that old song is still fresh because now it is mine to sing! Best regards, William
I like how you put this all together. Pleasant read. Sincerely, Connie Webb
A wonderful write Julia. What strikes me is your sense of understanding and composing. Definitely a masterpiece, just like the others. Love, N.D.
Words may have been written before, but nothing is ever really the same - just as the sun always rises and sets, there are subtle differences, different perceptions of what we already know. A thoughtful and reflective piece Julia, and like the other poems of yours I have read, beautifully composed. Warmest wishes, Justine.
Everything has been written, everything has been said before. History repeats itself. But, the fun of life, and the fun of writting, is there is always a new way of perception. Julia- you are great! God bless you! a ten.
Which is why I love reading, Julia. I see my humanity and ultimate destiny (death) in the lives of others. A rich and profound piece of writing. With warmth, Gina.
