It Doesn't Rhyme Poem by Timber Koleden

It Doesn't Rhyme

Rating: 5.0

Poetry, in short, is a wonderful art.
And for anyone new, this is where to start.
It must all begin with the essential rules
They are the tools for crafting poetic jewels.

A poem must contain, as rule number one,
Elegance and grace that is pretty to anyone.
It must have rhythm, as the rule number two.
With words in lines of syllabic uniform too.

The most important rule is rule number three.
Every poem needs to rhyme to truly be
Anything that even resembles real poetry.
If it has no such things it is trash plainly.

So be careful about what and how you write.
For there are many 'poets' who are cheats outright.
Do not write ugly and mangled globs of words
That would summon sweet tears from the singing birds.
