It Could All Be Better Poem by Rodney Dufault

It Could All Be Better

People tell me when I lose my temper that things could be much worse.
Well, I have to say it could all be better, and it's what our youth deserves.
That's why I'm not like my predecessor, but sometimes still use his words.
They're burned into me like embers, and they've been there since my birth.
I share all these things at my leisure, and with everyone on earth.
None of it's for my pleasure; It's not for me whom I'm concerned.
It's like I'm always writing letters to those who don't converse,
but I'm going to keep speaking however, even if you never hear my words.
Maybe someday you'll hear 'em all together when the world no longer turns.
Seems it's what people have done forever; You wait too long...You can't make returns.
Ya'll should know that from Wal-mart or whatever, and remember the wrath that it incurs.
Enjoy every moment of your time together even if you've no idea the purpose that it serves.
I know it's something that's hard to remember when everything inside you hurts,
but I will help you find your oppressors, and then I'll help you stomp those jerks.
Release you from all the building pressure - When I figure out what works.
It's all just part of the grand adventure of our massive, unknown universe.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
For the returns part I used Wal-mart as the place because I had tried to return something and they acted as if I had stolen it. I got bent out of shape and was getting upset enough they started calling out codes, to remove me or call police. I left. I just give things to others instead of returning them now.
