It All Started With A Cross! Poem by Denis Martindale

An artist known as Sergio loved comic books for sure,
His left hand moved both to and fro each time he painted more.
Each day God gave was fully lived, with blessings in his heart,
When he received God's greatest gift, a Christian life to start.
And God told him of greater things prepared for him to do,
For he would serve the King of Kings, each day his talent grew.
The Saviour walked to Calvary to suffer pain and loss,
That place was where Christ died for me, right there, upon that Cross.
And Sergio portrayed it all, one painting at a time,
As if each proved a miracle that captured truths sublime.
The Action Bible tells the tales, sharing inspiration,
Declaring God's love never fails, granting revelation.
Both young and old can study text, yet pictures show our Lord,
No longer should we look perplexed. Christ's love can't stay ignored.
No more a child of Nazareth, the King of Love is He,
The King who even conquered death, now rules with majesty!
And Sergio has served God well, the Gospel to proclaim,
Perhaps a billion souls to tell the reasons Jesus came!
