Is this real?
Is this the real deal
Can it be?
A future for you and me

I cannot begin to explain
this love we dare to entertain
I've waited oh so long
as this love grew unconditionally strong

It is real! this I know
I will never ever let you go
It took a while to sink in
Our love for each other transcending

In the beginning, shellshocked I stood
As you revealed my true womanhood
I never would've guessed it, I never would dare
That you were the one, the one who would care

So, is it real, all of it though?
As only our destiny and true path will show
Its brighter than ever, real love everywhere
I'll always look for you, even when you're not there

I wake up beside you, my heart comprehends
The feeling of longing no longer has trends
You smile when I kiss you, you hold me so tight
It's a privilege I tell you, to kiss you goodnight!

You're warm when I'm cold,
You pull me close when I'm far
You made me some breakfast,
Healed an emotional scar

So yes…..it is real!
In all the ways that makes you feel
It's real when we laugh, its real when we're sad
It's real when the little things make us so glad
It's real when we cook, its real when we talk
It's real when I look at you and blissfully gawk
It's real when we make love, so true and so kind
It's real when I keep touching you, easing my mind
It's real when each other's scent is the one we're searching for
A constant reminder, it's you I adore
