Is this how evil works. destroying everything it touches- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A very good topic for a mind and soul to ponder. We hear so many acts of evil these days- -not perhaps because statistically more of the population of the world is committing evil but because we have so many rapid sources of news to keep us informed. I wonder if people in the 1500's would have shot themselves had they heard so many thousands of evil being done daily. A very valid discussion here - -well written and well posed questions, Annette

Really thoughtful poem, I'd never even thought about Satan working miracles but that might explain some of the world's politicians getting elected.

I love how the title engages the reader's mind before the poem even begins. Then the question, presenting evil as almost an indiscriminate force of destruction...drawing us in, allowing us to become comfortable with that thought proposition echoing in our minds, questioning..... Then, boom, the last four lines- even yet addressed as questions- introduce the answer that questions cannot evade. Excellent execution, Annette. Captivating meditation. :) S

I like the line that says Accept the things I can't change. But we should also work to change the things that we can. Everyone must choose a side. Which side will we be on?

I imagine you are speaking about the horrific killings in London. You're right - this kind of thing is extreme evil. You may be aware that Satan is called several times in the Bible the ruler of the world. Take heart, though - his time is short.

Evil works destroy everything and bring confusion in to mind. God often does miracle but we think more and more. This is amazingly drafted and shared poem.10
