Is There Any Reason

We cannot change the past,
None of us will forever last,
The future is our only play.
Every day our paths narrow,
Any moment, our souls, could fly like a sparrows,
We do not need so many weapons to make our day.
All we hear about is negative hate,
With bombs on rockets, waiting at the gates,
With elected leaders, tempting each other, to make the first mistake.
Is it just to keep all of us in fear,
Always afraid we are about to lose our rears,
Not a good idea to take gifts from God, and blow them up in his face.
