Is Rather Tough Poem by Francis Duggan

Is Rather Tough

Life for so many people is tough day to day
Nothing that's easy seems to come their way
Having to work hard for low take home pay
Life choices mostly for well off people only true to say
Not many stories of success from the poor side of town
Few wish to know of you when you are financially down
Only of the wealthy we read of and hear
That they are looked on as winners is obviously clear
Most born of poor parents know of poverty
Lack of money gives rise to human inequality
Those who are poor many things must go without
Poverty gives rise to lack of self worth and self doubt
In a World where many are hungry and homeless and sleeping rough
Their journey in life on them is rather tough.
