Is Love Ever Found? Poem by Long Tooth

Is Love Ever Found?

So precious the cheek's warmth that presses my hand
That no mist on morn's meadow can help understand!
Does a sea breeze of evening feel sails push towards home?
What sky streak of bright stardust seeks marriage with loam?

Do birds grok South's compass or fear season's turn,
Or the bees teach their young nectar's dance? Do we learn?
Or is Love too, a gifting like leaves seek the sun?
Oh, do men find life's meaning or is there just one?
