Is Love eternal?
Sometimes I doubt it
When your memories do not come to me
As often as it used to be.

Memories! ! ! In sudden showers of love and art. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
hi, bharati! i hope this finds you well. with some time this morning, i came to see if you'd posted anything new and found this one. to your question, i immediately think, of course, convinced that God is love, and God eternal. as to the type of love in your poem, i note you begin with what is summoned by smell, that most primal of senses. then sound and touch. then sight, dominant for so many of us. your poem highlights the importance remembering can have for us. -glen
I would like to read your reply to SIR KM'S three pointed note Then I shall apply my mind ma'am
Part - 3 By an unknown person / A piece of film dialogue/ A joke, a laughter, / A smile, a tear / A grass lawn, / Yes, yes- - in so many things / I find you. / Then why I doubt on / the permanence of love? / Dear madam, you have brought here a brilliant poem regarding Love with an impressive inscription. Full vote. Thank you again.
Part - 2 me / As often as it used to be. /....Has someone else / Occupied your place? Here love may be called ephemeral. When lover or beloved remains closer to each other without any doubts Love may be called eternal or permanent. I want to cite here...How wonderful that / In thousand things / I find you / A familiar shirt worn /
Thank you Sir Kumarmani Mahakul for your wonderful review of this poem. Love may be present without one being aware of it or consciously feeling it. I am glad that this poem draws great poets here for a discourse on the topic 'Love'
Part - 1 The title of the poem " Is Love Eternal? " attracts me again to go through this poem. The title is with a question tag and its answer is too mysterious and manifolds. While doubts arise love becomes ephemeral instead of eternal. Here it may be quoted... Is Love eternal? / Sometimes I doubt it / When your memories do not come to
Love has both aspects it is eternal as well as material. If it's only eternal it's love of God. But when Vishnu comes as Krishna he materializes his love with Radha.
Thank you Akhtar Jawadji for your valuable comment . Yes, eternal means that which is permanent and never dies.We all are transient beings and death brings to halt all feelings including love. I feel, like death, love too is a mystery. It is a universal feeling. It depend so much on ones' perception. So love has different shades- -spiritual, platonic or, physical. We can not easily define this feeling.
''''''Does he love me / he remembers me Is this love Does he love me as much as I do - -these are some of the questions a lover wants reassurance always. not necessarily BUDDHA LEFT HIS LOVELIEST WIFE FOR LEARNING THE CAUSE OF POVERTY AT WHAT EXPENSE NIL HE Has become immortal
Thank you Poet Poet for your valuable comment.Lord Buddha left his palace, his beautiful wife Yasodhara and son Rahul in pursuit of a greater cause.- It was love for the humanity- to find the remedy of human sufferings.
Bhawans Journal or film Devdas Yes, yes- - in so many things I find you. Then why I doubt on the permanence of love? NOTHING IS PERMANENT ALL IS TRANSITIONAL MA'AM AS ALSO WAS BHOWANI JUNCTION NICE REMINISCENCE
An eternal dilemma... Life is a pendulum, seasons come and go in a merry-go-round, Feelings of heart take the worst mode before tracking right... Wow, what a lovely poem!
Thank you Sir Aniruddha Pathak for your wonderful poetic comment.I like what you say- An eternal dilemma.Yes, all lovers are intrigued by such dilemma.Does he love me /Does he remember me /Is this love /Does he love me as much as I do - -these are some of the questions a lover wants reassurance always.
Memories of the loved one can sneak in any time. If love is real, memories will linger and each time one sees something used by the loved one, old scenes will flash before our eyes creating waves of excitement. It is not necessary that we should think of the loved one all the time. Though such thoughts may lie dormant for sometime, it doesn't mean that love has died out! Beautifully put!
Thank you Madam Valsa George for reading my poem and your lovely comment
, I feel you When a cuckoo cooes From a distance Or a hovering cloud wets me in sudden showers...........touching expression with insightful imaginary. A brilliant poem on love is astutely delineated. Thanks for sharing.
In thousand things I find you....Then why I doubt on the permanence of love.. Yes dear sister Bharti, love in its strict sense is eternal. In case of a love not eternal is not love. You can call it by some other names. It's a meaningful piece of poem deserving a full 10
