Be there for your uncle, Mamta and be ever jubilant that in spite of it all, he's 90! Yes, the plight of the old can be pitiable - but they have so many stories to tell and, they have made their deposits long long ago. Moving and thoughtful.10+ mark
Mamta, this poem has captivated me......lots of words of wisdom that i can apply in my own life...........it goes to my list of favorites......
'Can one live on regrets? Doesn't help when you get this far, Make peace, forgive yourself and others'... Who said life is a compromise? whoever he be, he is wise...a vivid write on poverty, lack of love and attention on old age and its related hardships...the quoted lines constitute the soul of the poem...good work Mamta...Vidi also has posted one on the same theme...10
'It's too late, one to realize'... Oh...it’s true... Spent life in earning and spending... a rue A lament over bygone offspring, without a clue An evening of his life span, old is at his melancholy glue. Dear poet, your profound poem and its acrid truth... Makes me raise my level of thoughts and come forth.... Is it not possible to think beyond all these tabulations? A Life Time, not to measure one’s contributions A Life span, its audacious spell, to be extolled with all attributions. Good read indeed. Thank you.
A hand to hold when they are two. If either departs then, what to do! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Still the stream of consciousness flows. The end of Karmic cycle we don't know. CP
