No ocean mighty enough to turn the on-going ancient tides. Position of strength(borrowed from Chris) is defending loved ones from the tiger at the cave's mouth...defending one's loved one's from the megalomaniac in this century, everywhere.Great, Ted! xxElysabeth

Dittos, Ted. Yes, people die in all wars, but Iraq was a response to violations of a cease fire. To hear some people talk, you'd think there were no other wars going on in the world, that if the evil USA would just mellow out there would be world peace, but the truth is the world is run by the aggressive use of force, and all the good intentions under heaven won't change that. Peace can only be negotiated from a position of strength. (steps off soapbox)

This comment is directed to Moon Goddess. Ted was comparing the political aspect of the wars. I was playing devil's advocate in my statement. I am a soldier and think that they Iraq war is warranted. I am a supporter of the liberation of the Iraqi people. After being in Iraq and hearing the opinions of the Iraqi people, my heart bleeds for them. What we are doing is right, but most people do not see that because of the drive-by media that one shows one side of the picture. Most politicians cannot and will not understand because they have never spent time in the sand box, fighting and bleeding for these people.
